Hi girls,

As the title suggests I will be showing you what is in my over night makeup bag!

I love reading posts like these or watching videos because it's always interesting to see what products people are currently using/currently loving so I decided to show you mine.

Review; Fake MAC 182 Buffer Brush

Hey guys,

I have another FAKE MAC brush review for you today! I wanted to get the MAC 182 for a long time but it seemed soo expensive for a brush. So I hopped on eBay to find a cheaper alternative for it, I ended up buying a "MAC" 182 buffer brush from eBay a few weeks ago and it came on last Friday, and so far I'm really impressed!

The real MAC brush costs £32.50, but I paid £2.49 for my bush, which is actually less than the £2.50 change added onto the real MAC version!!

The brush is densely packed and feels luxuriously soft. For a fake brush, the softness is so impressive as I know from experience 'real' brushes can be super scratchy - I'm talking about you Bourjois Kabuki!

Although the bristles are dense, it's not too dense for applying setting powder. I still get a light coverage and it doesn't give me a cakey finish. I also use it to blend any harsh lines between my blush and bronzer to soften my look. 

The brush has "MAC 182" printed on it in silver.  

You also get a cute little case with the brush, which by itself I would pay more than £3 for! The case is soft and is made from high quality fake leather. It is embossed with "MAC" which I think is a nice little detail. The zip ad stitching are perfect and of a very high quality too. 

As you could probably tell already I don't regret buying it one bit, and have nothing but praise for the poor man's "MAC" brush!

Face Wash Series; Lush Fresh Farmacy

Hi everybody,

Today I will be reviewing Lush's Fresh Farmacy face wash. 

Now I'm going to just state that I don't like this face wash. Its just not for me at all and lucky I just have a sample.

What Lush says; "To make this soap gentle enough for use on the face, we cut down the amount of soap in it and replace it with other ingredients to help the skin. This makes a mild soap that is great for both face and body."

First off the soap its self smells funny, like herbs and generic soap. At first it didnt bother me, but now when I smell the soap it makes me not want it going anywhere near my face let alone on it!

Next is that it doesn't lather like a soap, it doesnt lather at all! You have to scrap the product agsints your face to get any of the soap on your face. Lush says "we cut down the amount of soap in" so I'm guessing that's why. But I don't understand why they did it, surely a soap has to lather?

Those small bubbles were a result of rubbing my hands together with the soap for about 3 minutes!

Another thing is that it doesn't even clean my face! I always remove my makeup with a baby wipe then wash the remaining off with a face wash but this doesn't do it, I end up washing my face at least 3 times to get rid of the make up. Then immediately after use, it dried my skin and made it tight and uncomfortable. 

I also noticed no difference in my spots, blackheads or redness so I would say this is waste of money.  For me it did nothing. However if you do want to try it out and if you live near a Lush you can pop in and ask for a sample.

Review; Collection 2000 Pressed Powder

Hey guys,  

The Collection 2000 Pressed Powder is one of the best powders I have ever used, and recently I have been choosing that over my MAC MSF natural. I use both powders as a finishing powder to set my makeup and just generally make my makeup 'come together.'

Now since I'm ghostly pale, I need a powder that makes my foundation a little bit paler to match my skin. So I got the powder in Ivory instead of Translucent, to give that bit of colour to blend. I use either MAC Studio Fix in NC15 or Revlon Photoready in Vanilla foundation, both with are a little dark, but when used with this powder they match perfectly. 

You might be able to see the rather deep dip where I've nearly hit pan.

Another thing that's good about this powder is the smell! I know, it's a bit strange that a powder has a nice smell but it does! It smells clean, a bit like a baby. You can't smell it when it's on your face though, just in the pan. 

The powder is quite sheer, even though it has a colour -that's why there is no swatch, it just blended into my skin! You can layer this powder without it looking too cakey, but if you over apply it tends to make your makeup look like a mask! Not good!

 Also I do tend to have a lot, and I mean A LOT of fall out from the powder, unlike the MSF. It tends to fall onto clothes when applying too, which is so irritating!

Plus on a normal day, I do have to reapply the powder at least twice which can be annoying, but something I did with my MAC MSF anyway.

Overall, I think this powder is really good! It does what I need, with out the MAC price tag.

Primark's Tangle Teezer Dupe

A little while ago I heard Primark had come out with a Tangle Teezer dupe, and when I saw it on Natasha's Blog I decided to pick one up. 

I’ve never owned a real Tangle Teezer but have always been interested in them, as they do seem to work. On a few occasions I've gone to Boots and nearly bought one but I always decide against it because I cant justify spending £10 on a hair brush - to me its ridiculous!  

The Primark version is only £1.50 and comes in two colours, black and pink. I opted for black as in my store I couldn't find the pink one :(

I wouldn't say I have tatty or tangly hair, but when I wear my extensions some bits do tend to tangle very easily near the nape of my neck. So I have to be careful about what brushes I use with my extensions as many of them can pull at the hair too much causing it to snap, but this doesn't do it at all! It glides through making the hair smooth and tangle free.

 It's also great to carry around as it's small and fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.

 I can’t really compare them fully but they look almost identical and it does do a good job of untangling my hair! Not bad for £1.50

Face Wash Series; Lush CoalFace Cleanser

Im sure I’ve mentioned on more than one occasion that I love Lush, I like to try their range by getting samples when I buy sometime and that's how I found out about the wonderful Coalface. 

Coalface - the beautiful charcoal grey bar of loveliness makes your face squeaky clean! 

Lush says; "Coalface includes liquorice infusion for softening and charcoal which absorbs grease and gently exfoliates the skin" 

I started to use this last summer when my face was super oily and it really, really did help! After using this product for a few months, my face had become clearer and I noticed less oil was being produced. However as I mention in other posts my skin is crazy, so once my skin started to become dryer in the autumn/winter I had to stop using it as it was too drying :( 

The soap lathers easy, into a bubbly cream which when rubbed on to your face is refreshing and cleansing. There is also tiny grains of real coal that gently exfoliate as you wash, which creates a fresh contrast with the soft lather. You can feel your face becoming clean and soft, but not tight and dry as you rinse it off, 

The smell of Coalface is quite strong. It smells to me like liquorice, which I normally hate, but in this instance love! Its really unique as it is sweet but also has the 'generic Lush' smell. I could see this either being a love or hate type of smell. 

Since the wash comes as one big chunk, I cut mine into smaller chunks and use them one at a time. I store the remaining pieces in a Lush massage bar tin to stop them from melting in the heat of the shower. You could just store them in another room or in a plastic bag. 

Overall, I would really recommend Coalface for normal to oily skinned people. I would also suggest asking a Lush employee to give you a sample before buying a full slice to make sure it works for you!

Review; The Body Shop's Chocomania Body Butter

Hey guys!

I have a product to show you today, that I actually can't get enough off! It's the Body Shop's Chocomania body butter and I love it. I hardly go to Body Shop because I think they can be pricey and I really prefer to go to Lush, but I am a big fan of their body butters! So when I heard The Body Shop was coming out with a chocolate range I was really looking forward to trying it, but I just hadn't until now.

So when I went in the other day I ran over and inhaled a massive breath of the chocolaty goodness, and oh my god, it smells incredible! Like real chocolate chip cookies. This really sealed the deal for me and I cant stop smelling it. Truth be told, I have almost tasted it twice, but stopped as I had to remind myself it is a body butter not food! Ahaha :P

It's a chocolate lover's heaven.

I ended up buying the small £5 50ml version as I already have two other big ones open, and it takes awhile for me to use them up.

The packaging is also adorable on this product. It looks luxurious and obviously chocolate like. Although chocolate isn't a normal 'summer' scent I will be using this all 'summer' as it is divine! I think as soon as our true autumn comes I will be buying the big one, and applying it every night!

*I say 'summer' more like winter! Newcastle right now feels more like November then July! Where is our sun?!!*

The texture like all Body Shop body butters is creamy and smooth and it spreads like a dream onto the skin. It also gets absorbed very fast which I love as I hate feeling greasy or sticky. 

 In the range there's a body butter, body scrub, shower gel, soap and lip butter. Which all smell soooooo good!
