Lip Balm Junkie; Top 3 Lip Balms

Hey guys!

Since getting into lipsticks, I really needed to up my game on make my lips moist and soft. I currently have 12 lip balms in use dotted all over the house and in various pockets and bags, but I definitely have 3 I like the most, and today I will show you which ones. 

My current lip balms in use

Carmex SPF15 Cherry Moisturising Lip Balm 

This is the first Carmex product I have ever bought, I don't know why it's took me so long! This lip balm comes with a menthol fruity smell of cherry which reminds me of cough syrup. The squeezable tube packaging makes application extremely easy and effective - I’m not a fan of pot lip balms and would rather just apply lip balm straight to my lips. The actual lip balm is not sticky like a lot of other lip balms can be but really does live up to its claims and moisturises my lips well. 

Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lip Balm

This lip balm is so moisturising, but the smell makes me a little sick. It smells of fake chocolate, which I hate, nothing like the other Palmers products. It also has a tingly feeling on my lips which is nice and it glides on easy. It also makes my lips feel SUPER moisturized and nourished,  my lips feel much smoother and softer once it’s on too. The tube is a regular twist up tube, nothing special. Overall, if this product wasn't so moisturising I wouldn't use it, but because it is, I really like it. 

Montagne Jeunesse Natural Beeswax Lipbalms - Shea Butter & Mango

I've had this lip balm since Christmas and I love it. The first thing I loved about this lip balm is the lovely mango scent. It's fresh but fruity and smells just like the Rubicon mango drink! Yummy.  I like the way it moisturises my lips, as the moisture is retained for about 2 hours. It doesn't tint your lips but just leaves them so nice and soft. Perfect.

Updated; How much does your face cost?

Part 1; How I Bleached My Extensions

Hey guys!

If your anything like me, then you are very impatient and very decisive! Last Tuesday I woke up and had the need to have ombre hair. So off I ran to boots to buy myself some bleach to bleach my extensions!

WARNING: Do not attempt to dye synthetic extensions.

Now I am going to show you how I did it, but bearing in mind I am not a professional or expert just a really impatient person, it wont be perfect! My extensions were bought blonde, I had dyed them about 6 times, and were completely black before I started - the bleach had a lot of work to do :P

Tools;

Bleaching Kit - Powder and Bleach

Hair - On your head or extensions

Brush - To mix the stuff up

Tinfoil 

Old Towel 

I used the Jerome Russell Bblonde for light to brown hair. In the pack you get 4 powder bleaches, but you have to buy the Cream Peroxide separately. The box cost like £3.50 and the developer was £1.50 ish. 

For my extensions I needed 2 sachets and 2 bottles.

You just mix them up and you are ready to go!

Then I put my extension in, made a mental note of how far I wanted the bleach up, took them out and put them on a sheet of tin foil to reduce the mess, then I slapped the bleach on!

 

 I left them for 30 mins, then ta-da! Gingery blonde hair :D

Now, my hair did look really frizzy so I left conditioner on over night and it seemed to help. But I did end up dying them a magenta purpley colour, which I think made them look a lot healthier and blend in more with my own hair. That will be in part 2 of my extension post :)

June Empties

Hey guys!

I don't have many empties this month, I think it has been because I have been buying a whole load of new things. But here are my empties for June and whether I would repurchase them:

Lush's Its Raining Men - I love this but not as much as Honey I Washed The Kids, plus its really expensive for a shower gel... I probably wont repurchase - you can read a review here!

N-Spa's Hot Butter Fudge Syrup - yes, yes, yes I will repurchase! I already have! - you can read my review here.

L'Oréal Paris Elvive Triple Resist shampoo and conditioner - I would buy again, but they run out soooooo fast! I only got them at the start of June. 

L'Oréal Paris Elvive Nutri-Gloss Crystal shampoo and conditioner - Like the products before, they run out really quick! However I do love these, as they have little glitter bits in them which is super pretty and nice. The overall effect on my hair, was alright, it did make it feel nice but nothing special. 

Alberto Balsam Intensive Conditioning Treatment, Honey and Almond Extracts - This is a great cheap hair mask! I wouldn't recommend it for completely fried hair but for hair that needs a pick me up it's great. It's not too heavy and so won't weigh down, and leaves my hair smooth and soft with a nice fragrance! I love this stuff, and need to get another one!

Garnier Pure Anti Black Head Deep Pore Wash - this is my 3rd bottle of this wash and I really love it! I have already picked up a new one as I cant seem to have nice skin with out it! I dont find it helps my blackheads go away, but does help prevent whiteheads and reduces any that I have - fantastic!

Dermalogica Skin Prep Scrub (sample) - This was really harsh on my skin! The particles where rough and sharp, tbh it hurt D: I will not be buying this at all!

Review; eBay's 4in1 Facial Cleaning Set Facial Cleaner Face Care

Hey guys!

If you read my wishlist, here, you would have seen the '4in1 Facial Cleaning Set Facial Cleaner Face Care' tool on my list, well as you can probably tell I bought it! It came a few days ago and only took about 2 weeks to get to England from China, which isn't too bad for free shipping! I bought mine from this seller; friendshop852, the customer service was great and they kept you up to date on where your order was. 

I bought it for £2.65 and like I said, it had free postage & packaging, here is the link to the exact brush; link

First, the exfoliator comes with 3 types of brush heads: 

- A bristle brush used for the face for exfoliation

- A sponge used for the face for cleansing 

- 2 "polish" heads for removing hard skin, mainly for your feet

Personally I just use the bristle head on my face, the sponge doesn't seem to do anything!

How I use it;

I put a small amount of my cleanser on to my face, then use the brush head to exfoliate dead skin cells and any dirt. I don't use the exfoliator for very long on one specific area as sometimes it can make my skin a little red. Once Im done I apply my moisturiser and *ta-da* smooth soft skin!

 The exfoliator is battery powered. Personally, I prefer to replace batteries rather than worry about recharging my brush before I can use it. In my opinion batteries are also easier for travel too.

Also, I would like to note, that this exfoliator actually spins instead of vibrating like the Clarisonic.  I personally haven't used a Clarisonic so I cant comment if it is better or worse. The spinning makes it feel like it is actually working my cleanser into my face, which I really like. However I would suggest keeping it well away from your eyes and underneath them as it feel so strange when those areas get 'spun'.

The tool has two settings for rotation, the white button moves up and down to control the speed. The low is enough for me, as I find I go red if I used the high on my cheeks. However I do use the high on my jaw line and it is fine there.

One thing I don't like is that the brush is not waterproof, meaning I cant use it in the shower. Now it is splash proof, but I don't want to risk it, I instead use it over the sink. The splash back from the tool is minimal, meaning cleanser won't go everywhere.

Overall, I would say the product is great for those looking for an affordable face and body cleansing tool. I love my '4in1 Facial Cleaning Set Facial Cleaner Face Care' tool and I have seen a huge difference in my skin. This was definitely a great purchase and I’m glad I found it before I purchased the Clarisonic. I didn’t see the point of spending 58 times as much when I could try this for under £3!
